2018 Season

2018 was the year Peter and 'Sneak and Destroy' finally executed their name to perfection. While the NFL was being set on fire by Patrick Mahomes' 50-touchdown debut, Peter was quietly grinding out a 10-3 regular season and a dominant championship run. He wasn't the loudest manager, but his depth was undeniable. Alex, fresh off his championship, nearly pulled off the rare back-to-back but fell in a tightly contested final to finish 2nd. Alex actually outscored Peter in total points (1770 to 1725), but as 2018 reminded us, the scoreboard in Week 16 is the only one that truly matters.

Owen’s 'The Sillinannies' once again looked like world-beaters in October, finishing with 9 wins, but another playoff hiccup left him in 3rd place. Meanwhile, amosa's dynasty hit a brick wall, finishing 8th with a dismal 2-11 record. This was also the year of the Le'Veon Bell holdout, which provided endless drama for the #12 overall pick (amosa) who spent his first-rounder on a guy who stayed on a jet ski all season. Kyle also took a massive tumble from his former champion status, finishing 11th after his 'Runs Like A Gurley' squad ran right into a wall of injuries.

The league's draft history will remember this as the year several managers (Spencer and Taylor included) realized that drafting a QB early was a losing strategy when you could just find Mahomes in the mid-rounds. Peter's victory was a triumph of consistent management over flash, as he navigated the waiver wire for reliable replacements while others were busy panicking over their roster-clogging stars. 2018 proved that Peter was a threat to 'Destroy' any manager who underestimated his 'Sneak' potential.
